ALL-IN-ONE EMAIL MARKETING

MailWizz Server Plans

MailWizz EMS + managed SMTP relay, pre-installed and fully managed on EU dedicated servers. Point your domain, upload your list, start sending. We handle everything else: server, IPs, authentication, warming, and daily monitoring.

These plans are NOT designed for Cold Email

Cold email outreach requires a completely different infrastructure: isolated IP pools, domain rotation, aggressive per-domain throttling, and our active IP Warming service running permanently. These plans are designed for double opt-in, permission-based sends to subscribers who know the sender. → See our Cold Email Infrastructure

FAQ

MailWizz Server FAQ

What is MailWizz?
MailWizz is a self-hosted email marketing platform (PHP/MySQL) with a full-featured campaign interface, subscriber management, autoresponders, bounce processing, and REST API. We install and manage it for you — you log in and use it like a SaaS, with full control over your data.
Are these plans for cold email or opt-in lists?
Strictly for double opt-in, permission-based lists — subscribers who explicitly signed up to receive your emails. Cold email outreach requires different infrastructure: isolated IP pools, domain rotation, active warming permanently. See our Cold Email Infrastructure page.
Can I send 5,000 emails on day one?
The Starter plan supports 5,000 emails/day on properly warmed IPs. New IP warming takes 8–12 weeks to reach full production volume, starting at 500/day and scaling up. During warming, daily limits are enforced in our relay. After warming, you can use the full daily capacity.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your MailWizz data (subscriber lists, campaigns, templates) is always exportable from the MailWizz interface. We provide a 30-day data export window after cancellation. Your domain and sending history remain yours.
Can I try MailWizz before buying?
Yes. Demo: demo.mailwizz.com/customer — User: demo@mailwizz.com — Password: democustomer. Sending is disabled in the demo but the full interface is available.
Is this better than Mailchimp?
For high-volume permission-based senders: yes. Your IPs are dedicated — no co-tenant contamination. No per-subscriber pricing. No account suspension for spam complaints. We manage the infrastructure; you manage your lists and campaigns.

MailWizz Server: The Complete Buyer's Guide

People searching for 'MailWizz server hosting', 'managed MailWizz', or 'MailWizz dedicated server' are at the decision point between self-hosted and fully managed email marketing infrastructure. This guide covers everything you need to make that decision — and what to expect from a managed MailWizz environment.

What 'Managed MailWizz Server' Actually Means

MailWizz is a self-hosted application — you download it from the MailWizz website, install it on a server, and configure it. In theory, this is straightforward. In practice, a production MailWizz environment requires: a properly configured web server (Nginx/Apache), PHP-FPM with the right extensions and memory limits, MySQL optimization for large subscriber tables, cron job scheduling for delivery queues and bounce processing, SMTP delivery server connection, DKIM/SPF/DMARC configuration, and ongoing maintenance as MailWizz releases updates.

A managed MailWizz server means Cloud Server for Email handles all of that. You log in to MailWizz, upload your list, create your campaign, and send. We handle the infrastructure layer completely — server, software, authentication, delivery, monitoring, and updates.

MailWizz Server Plans: Technical Specifications

Each plan pairs MailWizz EMS running on our application cluster with a dedicated sending server. MailWizz never runs on the same server as the SMTP relay — this separation prevents resource contention at high send volumes and allows each component to be optimized independently.

MailWizz Long-Tail: Specific Questions We Answer

MailWizz vs Mailchimp: Why Senders Switch

This is the most common migration path we see. Mailchimp users typically hit one of three walls: (1) per-subscriber pricing becomes significant above 25,000 subscribers, (2) account suspended after spam complaints on a campaign, or (3) inbox placement declines due to shared IP pool contamination from co-tenants. MailWizz on dedicated infrastructure solves all three: flat-rate pricing regardless of list size, no account suspensions for spam reports, and IP reputation isolation.

MailWizz Server Requirements: What You'd Need to Self-Host

If you were to self-host MailWizz on a VPS, the minimum requirements for production use are: PHP 8.1+ with extensions (curl, gd, openssl, mbstring, dom, pdo_mysql, imap), MySQL 5.7+/MariaDB 10.x, 2GB+ RAM (4GB+ recommended), cron jobs every 5 minutes, and a dedicated SMTP server for delivery. The VPS cost plus PowerMTA license cost plus your administration time typically exceeds our managed plans once volume exceeds 10,000 emails/day.

MailWizz Bounce Server: How It Works in Our Environment

MailWizz includes a native IMAP bounce server that monitors a designated inbox for bounce notification emails. In our managed environment, we configure this IMAP connection to our bounce processing server, which receives SMTP-level bounce responses forwarded by the delivery server. Hard bounces are suppressed within seconds of the SMTP rejection event — before MailWizz's normal cron-based processing cycle. This real-time suppression is important for list hygiene at high volume, where accumulating bounced addresses over hours can cause reputation damage during a single campaign send.

MailWizz API: Integrating with Your CRM or E-commerce Platform

MailWizz provides a full REST API for subscriber management, list management, campaign creation, and statistics retrieval. Common integrations from our clients: Salesforce to MailWizz subscriber sync via Zapier, WooCommerce customer post-purchase sequence via MailWizz API, HubSpot contact segmentation to MailWizz custom fields, and custom PHP/Python applications managing subscriber lifecycle via the API. We provide API documentation and connectivity testing as part of onboarding for Professional and higher plans.

MailWizz Server Plans FAQ

What version of MailWizz do you install?
We install the latest stable MailWizz 2.x release at onboarding and maintain updates throughout your subscription. Minor version updates are applied within 14 days of release; major version upgrades are tested in staging before production deployment.
Can I install MailWizz plugins or extensions?
Yes. MailWizz supports a plugin ecosystem for additional functionality. We can install compatible plugins during onboarding or at any time during your subscription. Contact us before installing third-party plugins — some plugins modify core files in ways that complicate updates or conflict with our configuration.
What happens to my MailWizz data if I cancel?
MailWizz data is exportable at any time from the MailWizz interface: subscriber lists as CSV, campaigns as HTML/text, and statistics as CSV. We provide a 30-day data export window after cancellation, during which the MailWizz interface remains read-only. Your sending domains and IPs cannot be transferred but campaign data is fully portable.
Can I use MailWizz for transactional email?
MailWizz is primarily a bulk campaign platform. For triggered transactional email (password resets, order confirmations), we can configure a separate virtual MTA pool with higher priority routing and dedicated IPs isolated from marketing campaign traffic. This is available on Professional and higher plans.
Is there a MailWizz demo I can try?
Yes — demo.mailwizz.com/customer with credentials demo@mailwizz.com / democustomer. Sending is disabled in the demo but all campaign management, list, and template functionality is available to explore.
Do you offer MailWizz white-label for agencies?
Yes. MailWizz includes white-label functionality where the platform can be branded with your agency's name and logo. Sub-account management allows separate client environments under one MailWizz installation. Available on Professional and higher plans.
